Attending the 2025 Vancouver Kimchi & K-Food Festival
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver actively participated in the 2025 Kimchi & K-Food Festival, hosting kimchi-making workshops and promoting various aspects of Korean culture.
During the festival, the Consulate organized hands-on kimchi-making and tasting programs and showcased a variety of cultural activities, including K-pop cover dances, Taekwondo demonstrations, traditional Samulnori performances, Hanbok experiences, and a “Squid Game”-style challenge. Attendees also enjoyed Korean food stalls offering tteokbokki, bibimbap, Korean fried chicken, and more.
The festival attracted numerous visitors, with controlled entry and limited attendance to ensure safety. This highlights the strong local interest in Korean food and culture, and the organizers expressed their gratitude for the community’s engagement.
The event was hosted by the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association and the Brownbag Business Community, in collaboration with the Consulate, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Gyeonggi Province, and local cultural organizations in Vancouver.
