2026 Hands-On Kimchi-Making Class Learn to make authentic Korean kimchi with the Tap & Barrel culinary team. Prepare traditional seasoning, mix it with salted napa cabbage, and take your handmade pogi kimchi home in an airtight container. No previous cooking experience is required. Classes are conducted in English and Korean. Class Details Dates: August 28–29, 2026 Location: Kimchi & Kimbap Pavilion, Coquitlam Town Centre Park Sessions: Aug. 28 at 4 PM and 6 PM / Aug. 29 at 1 PM and 4 PM Duration: 50 minutes Capacity: Up to 50 participants per session Fee: $35 Included All ingredients, gloves, apron, takeaway container, step-by-step instruction, and a tasting of six traditional varieties: Pogi Kimchi, Chonggak Kimchi, Baek Kimchi, Yeolmu Kimchi, Gat Kimchi, and Pa Kimchi Complimentary access to the main-stage Kimchi-Making Demonstration is also included. Allergy Notice This class uses fermented salted shrimp and anchovy fish sauce. Participants with seafood allergies should not register. Ingredient substitutions cannot be accommodated. Sessions may fill quickly. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled class.
